2 Timothy 3:14-17 (NIV
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Christianity centers on the resurrection of Jesus. If that didn't happen, then Xianity is as empty a religion as all the others.
The story of the resurrection is surrounded by provably erroneous biblical passages; both in the old testament and in the new testament. The following pages document the errors in the bible. In every scientific reference, the bible is wrong. It does not reflect the knowledge of an all knowing God but the knowledge of ignorant, illiterate pre-Taliban men.
Why then should the resurrection be the only thing in the bible that is correct? Maybe it's wrong too.
The presupposition of Christianity is that the Bible, as originally written down by people inspired by God, is the infallible word of God in written form. The Bible contains the divine answer to the problems we humans face throughout our lives, as well as the directives of God concerning how He is to be worshiped and served. Christians believe that God Himself maintains the integrity and accuracy of His words through the work of the Holy Spirit.
However, to the unbiased eye, the bible is filled with so many erroneous "facts", inconsistencies and contradictions that it can't possibly be the "inspired, infallible, inerrent, universal word of of God for all ages." .
Let me count the ways - each page below cites a biblical concept that is provably wrong - either by observable fact or an internal contradiction. Either way, the bible is shown to be WRONG.
How did the bible come to be so unquestioningly accepted? It was written by unknown men (not Moses, not John, not Matthew, etc) at unknown times and pulled together by the same
Why do you put your faith in a book that is obviously not written or inspired by the God you believe in?
