John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The essence of Christianity is summed up in that biblical verse. But what gives the book of John authority?
Inconsistencies and omissions; the book of John differs significantly from Matthew, Mark and Luke.
If the bible is eternal truth, etc. etc. etc. shouldn't all the Gospels describing Jesus life be identical in the points that Christians base their faith on?
The books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
The bible is false with respect to the crucifiction and resurrection by reason of contradiction.
Since the bible is the inerrent word of God, parts of it are false because they contradict other parts of it.
The next page points out the differences between John and the synoptic Gospels.
The following page point out the ommissions of John.
The diagram below shows the concordence between the three books Matthew, Mark and Luke. Apparently there was a lot of plagurism going on.
