Nonsense of Noah
Determining how much food, gathering all the different types of food, loading all the food and then preserving it from the time it was gathered until they got off the Ark is an impossible task for eight people.
HOW MUCH FOOD WOULD BE REQUIRED?
John Woodmorappe calculates that Noah's ark carried 5.5 million kilos by weight of animals.
He also estimates that each animal, on average, ate one thirtieth of its body weight per day.
Now, I think that the animals would not weigh 5.5 million kilos but the 5.5 million kilos is from an Ark Apologist.
Good! I'll use 5.5 million kilos.
1 Kilogram = 2.2 pounds.
Here's the weight (using Woodmorappe's own calculations) of the food Noah had to locate, harvest, transport to the Ark and load onto the Ark,
(1/30 * 5,500,000kilos * 2.2 lbs/kilo) / 2000 = 73,.000 tons of food!
Simply stated... the boat would sink as it has only a 23,000 tons of load carrying capacity.
SECONDARY FOOD REQUIREMENTS
Many of the animals on board were carnivores. Many types of carnivores become very afflicted when forced to live off vegetation because they typically only meet their nourishment requirements from live foods. They had to eat other LIVING animals. .
TOTAL WEIGHT OF FOOD: 93,000 tons
OBTAINING THE FOOD
How did Noah know what food to get for each animal?
How did Noah know where to go to get the appropriate food for each animal?
Even with the supposition of these animals being able to tolerate a drastic change in their diets, Noah could not have feasibly provided fresh vegetation throughout the duration of their confinement.
Creationists say that the food wasn't specific to each animal; that they all ate the same thing.
How then did Noah determine the correct mix that would nourish all on board and how did he get the ingredients to make it and how did he make it?
HOW MUCH SPACE WOULD 93 TONS OF FOOD TAKE?
How was it stored. All in one big pile or organized on shelves, by animal or food stuff?
Safe to say it would take at least 1/4 of the ship's capacity or 375,00 cubic feet EVEN if it was just all squashed together
The foodstuffs would have to be stored in an organized manner using shelves, aisles, etc. So, 375,000 cubic feet is certainly reasonable.
HOW WAS ALL THE FOOD PRESERVED?
In whatever form the food took how was it preserved?
The Ark would have been very dark and damp - perfect conditions for spoilage, rot and mold.
How were the rodents prevented from escaping their (wire mesh?) cages and then eating the food?
