21. Random thoughts

These writings are by primative Jews who were competing with other religons of the times. They dream up reasons why you should believe them (miracles, son of god, gold) and threaten everyone who doesn't believe with the wrath of god forever.

If the bible was written by an all powerful, all knowing God, why is it so full of nonsense? Why isn't it more clear so that any one can read and understand it? Why is everything I read into the verses wrong? Why can Christians take passages out of context but I can't?

You take all the verses of the bible so literally but when I do, I learn that I am taking them out of context and I need someone to explain them to me.

John 9:22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

Here's a reason why the ignorant jews wrote the bibles chapters - to maintain the fear!

Luke 22:41-42

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

How does anyone know what Jesus said if he was a stone's cast withdrawn from them?

It reinforces my point that these stories were made up by Taliban like people.

How and why would a loving God put in all the unimportant detail.

Shouldn't the word of God be less mundane?

Where's the "loving" God in these passages?

Proverbs 16:4

The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

See.... it's all about "the lord".

John 12:40

He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

12:41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

Romans 9:18

Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned.

There is no fucking way I could read any more of this stupid drivel shit.
