Jesus is crucified and comes back to life.
Given all the nonsense that precedes the crucifixion, it is rather anticlimatic.
Nothing unusual there, 16 saviors of the world had been crucified before Jesus.
It was just a requirement of the day that if you are going to have a religion, you better have your central figure born of a virgin and crucified and resurrected.
Of course I don't believe something so ridiculous. It is in keeping with the preceding nonsense in the previous chapters.
It is also in keeping with other religions of the times. If your religion doesn't have a crucified savior you are not in the big leagues.
