16. Chapter Fifteen

Ask and it will be done

15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Which is it?

For all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

God chooses who will be saved AND their requests will be granted

15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit,

and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Are their not prayers of the disciples that are not answered? I believe there are some.\

WHATSOEVER ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

"May" is not a conditional here. It means the father will give it to you.

OK - now that you have "heard" Jesus, you better believe,

15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.

Hooray.... Jesus has not come and spoken to me so I have cloak for my sin.
