2.3. Rationale for Exodus - Gawd's Promise

THE POINT!

For whatever reason gawd chose the jews as "his people" and promised them land. The damn jews still use this as an excuse to occupy land

Exodus 3:17

And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the ...

Canaanites, and the

Hittites, and the

Amorites, and the

Perizzites, and the

Hivites, and the

Jebusites,

unto a land flowing with milk and honey.

Deuteronomy

1:7 Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land* which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

:
19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

And this promise becomes the rationale for the murder, genocide, baby killing, rape, slavery, plundering and all the other atrocities that appear in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua and Judges. The killing etc ends when Ruth seduces an older, rich relative (Boaz) by sneaking into his bed while he slept. But Ruth isn't one of the books that the jews revere.

Because the Jewish faith reveres these books (i.e. the Torah or the Pentatuch) and because they view Moses as their most important prophet, I have lost all respect for Judaism. They're more fucked up than Christians; at least Christians try to cover their asses with jesus.

* What kind of bullshit nonsense is this? How can anyone, other than the jews, believe that a loving, compassionate, all knowing, omnipotentent god would utter such statements?
